Complex ovarian cyst are less common but are more serious than regular ovarian cysts. Complex ovarian cysts have both solid and liquid parts. This type of cyst forms when the ovaries produce an egg that is not fully released from the follicle. When this happens, some components of the egg remains along with fluid and forms a complex ovarian cyst.
